Great school. Everyone was friendly and helpful. My son blossomed over 3 years at Perry. Classes were rigorous. Plenty of clubs and sports for students. Excellent teachers and staff that cared about kids.

It was very clique-y school and everyone stayed with the same group of friends from 7th grade. The students also judged and made fun of people for what they wore and how they looked. The teachers didn’t do really anything to stop it unless you told them after class, even then the kids could still continue in the hallways, cafeteria, recess and in some classrooms. Fights were very common. I witnessed 3-5 fights per each year in Perry. When the teachers did watch the students they were more concerned about the dress code or why they were doing homework in the hallway then their well being. Likewise, the responsibilities and freedom did not change from 7th to 9th grade. That’s why the 7th graders had a fun year and then their next two years were horrible because there was no change.
Overall, The Perry experience is made up of a good staff, with a hard social setting, and a building that is slowly crumbling to pieces.
